This flower bloomed on my birthday!
This spells danger, one is a male and one a female… They love dirty laundry…
My belated birthday party

There is so much going on in Charleston for March. The best event, in my opinion is that the Farmers Market is back. It’s every Saturday from 8-1pm and it’s fantastic. For events you might want to check out www.charlestonlowcountry.com but a few highlights are The French Quarter Art Walk on the 3rd which is a gallery extravaganza with food and wine, and the Distinctively Charleston Food and Wine Festival March 2-5th.The Festival of Houses and Gardens is an ongoing event from the 16th of March to the 15th of April and the Third Annual Charleston International Antiques Show is going on from the 17th to the 19th of this month. Speaking of the 17th, our annual St. Pat’s day parade will be going on downtown (probably king st thereabouts) and every year on St. Patty’s day there is a pubcrawl put on by 96 wave which, if you can manage to stay upright till the end will win you some really good prizes and a really great hangover the next day. For all you pagans, spring starts on the 20th and you can always come to the hostel and howl at the moon with us, we’d love to celebrate. Also, Wilco is coming to town March 8th and G love and Special Sauce will be at the music farm on the 7th. Remember that April 1st is the bridge run, so get a room early, cause we’re about to fill up! And don’t forget that.. time MARCHes on, so you better get in gear. Have a great march, here are some pictures so far… birthday parties and guests coming and going,… and Spring has sprung!
Look at John our hunky Handyman.. wouldn’t you like him to come paint your walls?
This is my classic red face, eyes closed pose…
This is our group from GWU here for the weekend.
This hippo wasn’t here…. And neither was my friend Erin (below), but I miss her…
